We're Craig and Julie, and we lived this daily with our boys, Max and Luca. Australia's sun is strong, and going hat-free was never really an option. But finding a hat that would actually stay on? That felt like a different problem entirely.
Then on a family trip - sitting on a sun lounger, getting up for the fourth time to put a hat back on a small, very determined person - one of us said: what if it had a buckle? Not a chin strap. A real, satisfying click-buckle. The kind tiny hands can't figure out.
We went home and made it.

Luma is named after our boys. Luca and Max. A little piece of them goes into every hat we make.

Max drew this one at daycare. We kept it exactly as he wrote it.
